Categories I wish mommy and daddy would let me go on a cruise trip. Ever since I was a puppy I’ve been dreaming of traveling. I was searching online, and Cunard  cruise line allows dogs to sail to Europe. The ship will leave from New York, and my final destination will be Southampton. Getting a Pet Passport is not easy, so it would take 8 months of preparation before I could set sail.

The ship I want to travel on is the Queen Mary 2, and they are based in the United Kingdom. Since their rules for international pet travel are so stringent I would have to start preparing all of the paperwork as soon as possible.

One of the first items will be one of many visits to the veterinarian to get a microchip implanted for tracking purposes. Next I would get my rabies vaccination. Right before my trip I would need flea, tapeworm, and tick treatments. After a little bit more paperwork I would be cleared for sailing.

I heard all the families with pets would get the VIP treatment and be able to board the ship first. Maybe I would see the world’s cutest Pomeranians Boo and Buddy from Virgin America. Once onboard all the pets would be placed in the kennel for the duration of the trip with our Kennel Master. My parents can visit me throughout the day and I get all the fresh cooked chicken and homemade biscuits I could ever want.

My parents can attend a “Dog Lovers Meeting” and drink champagne while I play with all the other dogs out on the deck. I will also have a photo shoot with mommy and daddy, and I get my very own Queen Mary 2 coat to wear for the picture.

The best part for mommy and daddy is they don’t have to take care of cleaning up after me on the trip. After I handle my business on the deck the Kennel Master cleans it up immediately! I also like that the only time I have to stay in my cage is when no one is around. Most of the time I will be able to run freely on the designated area of the deck and the view from there would be spectacular.

I was also told by Cunard that the ship has large stabilizers, so nobody should get sea sick while sailing on the ocean. All the passengers and the pets are treated equally on the ship, so we will all feel welcome and at home.

The last thing that I really like about Cunard is they have a kennel safety protocol. Each pet gets their own life jacket and a staff member assigned to them. If there’s an emergency I will be escorted to a safe location. Now I just have to convince Mommy and Daddy to take me on this trip. It shouldn’t be too hard considering they are travel planners at Fun Cruises For You!
